Wendu Ink is a tiny company that creates custom letterpress printed paper goods in Seattle. I specialize in wedding invitations and baby announcements and love collaborating with clients to find a perfect design solution for all momentous occasions. As designer and printer, I control all aspects of each project, assuring each is perfect from start to finish. Once a design is finalized, I love to watch it come to life with letterpress printing. I adore the handmade nature of the process, the historical relevance of the equipment and the unique quality of the final product. I spent my youth in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California and now live in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. I love ink, paper, couches on skinny wood legs, good food, and anything handmade. My work reflects a love for modern design while exhibiting reverence for the style and care that were infused in products from the past. I am a firm believer in less is more. I print all of my work on one of two 1906 Chandler and Price platen letterpresses (loving named Loretta and Lloyd) that live in my studio (fifty four sixteen) in the quaint Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. As for the tale behind the name Wendu Ink, my family has lovingly called me Wendu since I was two feet tall. Twenty-some-odd years later, and a few feet taller, I created Wendu Ink. Custom work and quotes available upon request. Thank you for your interest. |
